Employee Job Openings: Publix Super Market Wants $4.2M Tax Refund From Government To Open 700 Jobs In Lakeland

Publix Super Markets, one of the largest companies in America, is applying for a $4.2 million tax refund and exemption to add 700 jobs in their Lakeland Facility. This is great news for employees that resigned from their jobs.
Jobs & Hire reported that efficient employees tend to quit their job more often than inefficient once. They quit because underpayment, no advancement, work overload, unreasonable bosses and no challenge. For those employees who quit their job, they can now apply in Publix Super Market.
Brain West, Spokesman of Publix Super Markets, they are currently looking for possible opportunities for their support staff. West stressed that they currently looking for available incentives in various areas.
"The Super Market chain would receive a $3.5 million tax refund in the next ten years through the Qualified Target Industry Tax Refund Program. Local governments are required to supply one-fifth the incentive, so Lakeland and Polk County governments would each contribute $350,000," The Ledger reported.
"Aside from the tax refund program, Publix Super Market is also entitled to the Polk County Bonus Incentive that would pay up to $700,000 for ten years, if they were able to perform their requirements. Half the cost would be borne by Lakeland and the other half by Polk Country," they added.
The site also stressed that if Publix Super Market was able to fill 700 jobs they will be granting the largest local program in Florida. They reported that the Lakeland Economic Development only awarded the Polk County Bonus Incentive to six companies namely WellDyne, O'Reilly Auto Parts, Mission Foods, DS Service, Keymark and SteriPack.
According to Forbes, Publix Super Market was founded in 1930 by George W. Jenkins. It is reportedly the largest employee-owned supermarket chain in the US.
"It has a 1,106 retail food supermarket throughout Florida, Georgia, South and North Carolina, Alabama and Tennessee. Publix Super Market has revenue of 32.6 billion as of last year," the site concluded.
