Chobani Inc. voluntarily pulled out their stocks from the shelves because of customer complaints of feeling ill after consuming the product. A customer complained of bloating and identified small punctures on the foil cover of the yogurt.

This Tuesday, the Greek yogurt company has already identified the cause of concern among its users: a type of mold which was "commonly found in a dairy environment".

"The product in question is less than 5% of our production and is limited to cups produced at our Idaho facility, which accounts for only one third of our production capacity," said from the release of Chobani Inc.

The statement also urges customers who have purchased cups with the code of 16-012 and expiration dates 9/11/2013 to 10/7/2013 to contact via their website to have their yogurts replaced.

Although the company has voluntarily took measures based on the concern, customers still pour their sentiments over the social media networks of the Greek company.

"I have been sick for a week and a half and couldn't figure out why. After reading the newspaper today, I know why. I still have 2 'puffy' containers in my fridge."

"After my post about my amazing yogurt it was brought to my attention there is a recall on some of that brand's yogurt :/"

" Good thing I read about the recall, I don't think yogurt should bubble," said one Twitter user.

"Not cool @Target . You heavily discounted #Chobani yogurt that is under arecall without telling your customers why. pic.twitter.com/LAQzfHVsNj," one customer complained.

One of the most commented topics over social media is how to determine if the yogurt is among the recalled batches and what to do once it has been consumed. It has been described as "fizzy" "funny smelling" and "tastes like wine".

Some users had commended the company for listening and taking action.
