Commercial fast food chain Chick-Fil-A always seems to find itself in the spotlight.
Chick-Fil-A has a new breakfast menu, and is promoting the update to their avian fare by giving away one free breakfast item to customers, from today until September 14.
The breakfast special is a part of their new "Breakfast's on us" promo, where customers looking for a free morning meal can go online and choose a free item on the menu, to reserve a coupon that can be presented for redemption at the restaurant.
Customers can order over at chick-fil-aforbreakfast.com.
There are ten new menu items for the free breakfast, including the restaurant's take on such breakfast classics like Chicken biscuit, Egg and Cheese Bagel, and a saucy item for the health conscious, a Yogurt Parfait.
The promo has been so popular that its Monday supply has already closed down due to popular demand. Due to the large number of breakfast-hungry customers, the site has closed down and is no longer accepting further registrations.
Chick-Fil-A was recently under fire for its statements on several social issues. It had recently took a strong stance against the LGBT movement, and an employee had once been reported to have chastised a mother attempting to breastfeed her child on counts of nudity, but lawmakers have since acquitted, as breastfeeding in public is not against the law. No new yet if the wildly popular breakfast promo had purposedly been put up to bring the fast food chain back into a more positive light, but several speculators and critics seem to be thinking of it that way already.
The fast food restaurant chain claims that it serves healthy food nationwide, and has been recognized as one of the country's "Most Inspiring Companies" last year by the posh Forbes magazine.
