Fast-forward to present day 2016, Giuliana Rancic is celebrating a momentous milestone in her life as a cancer-free mother, wife, and celebrity. Life couldn't get any better than this for the 42-year-old red carpet host, as she celebrates five years of being cancer-free! She underwent adouble mastectomy in December 2011 so her body can clear out cancer, after discussing with her ever-supportive husband, Bill Rancic, both advantages and disadvantages of the operation. Bill, whom she married back in 2007, supported her all throughout her cancer journey.

Us Magazine reported that Giuliana discovered she had breast cancer when her doctor advised she needs to go through mammogram before she gets her third round of IVF treatment. She and husband Bill were planning another baby.

According to Woman's Day, Giuliana made a heartfelt post via Instagram, a picture of herself in a sheer white mini dress, facing the sun with open arms on a beautiful beach. The caption started with Giuliana revealing a quote that served as her mantra, providing her both inspiration and comfort. The said quote is about everything being okay in the end and if it's not okay then it's not the end yet. Written in that same caption was how she felt "immense gratitude" and that though the chances of cancer possibly returning is still there, it's "exponentially lower."

Additionally, she also mentioned that she considers cancer as more of like her history and less of her present, however, it doesn't mean that she is leaving that battlefield. Her words were full of gratitude as she reflects on those who were, unfortunately, not as lucky as her and eventually lost their own battle against the disease and vowed to keep their spirits alive and continue their fight. She also included in her caption that 40,000 deaths credited to breast cancer for this year alone, whereas 300,000 were diagnosed and whose journey is just beginning.

The former "Fashion Police" host did not have a family history of breast cancer and shares a four-year-old son named Edward Duke with her loving husband.
