The Atlanta Braves seemed to have lost their patience on Dan Uggla and the club is now reportedly looking for takers for their second baseman.

Uggla, who has been considered as a major defensive liability over the past several years, has also struggled to find his offensive rhythm this season, hitting just .184 this season.

The Braves have taken the 34-year-old second baseman out of their starting lineup, and are planning to look for other options, including giving more playing time to Ramiro Pena and Tyler Pastornicky.

The recent benching led to speculations that the Braves are ready to part ways with Uggla, but they are not getting calls from other teams about the availability of the nine-year veteran.

Uggla is set to receive $26 million in the next two years and no team has expressed willingness to take his expensive contract. But according to the Inquistr, the Braves could convince either the Toronto Blue Jays or the Seattle Mariners to take Uggla - but for the right price.

One possible scenario is a trade involving Uggla and Blue Jays second baseman Ryan Goins, who has been relegated to AAA after serving as a starting earlier this season.

The Blue Jays are not expected to agree to a one-on-one deal, but they will likely approve a trade if the Braves are willing to offer a pitching prospect or take a big contract as well.

"The Blue Jays opening day second baseman, Ryan Goins, has also been demoted to AAA and could be a potential return piece for the Braves. Goins struggled offensively for the Blue Jays, but is just 26 and if the Braves offered up pitching in return, could convince the Blue Jays to get a deal done," Inquistr wrote.

The Mariners are also considered as a potential trade partner for the Braves, but a straight swap is highly unlikely as well because they are not in need for a second baseman, but they could agree to get a deal done if the Braves will include a pitching prospect or another outfielder in the trade package.

"Seattle has done an excellent job of getting the most out of their money, so it would be unlikely that they would take on Uggla's contract. However, if the Braves were to offer up a young pitching prospect and outfield depth, the Mariners could be interested," Inquistr noted.
