Warner was reportedly impressed with the successful private screening of "Batman v Superman" that Ben Affleck might get three more Bruce Wayne flicks.
The expanding DC Cinematic Universe is mainly being focused on by Warner Bros. with the release of "Batman v Superman" and "Suicide Squad" next year succeeded by "Wonder Woman," "Justice League" and "Aquaman." Ben Affleck's solo "Batman" film which he will write and direct is also in the works.
According to Den of Geek, Batman might be in for more stand-alone movies. An anonymous source from the industry detailed that "Batman v Superman" was screened for Warner top honchos and the film's crew within the last 24 hours or so.
The source said: "It's a near finished cut but not locked."
That screening reportedly was a tremendous success that the Zack Snyder helmed movie even got a "standing ovation."
Ben Affleck's portrayal of Batman aka Bruce Wayne impressed Warner that a process of creating an extended golden deal was apparently made. This will lead to a creation of a trilogy of solo flicks, not counting the one that Ben Affleck will write and direct that was already announced a few months ago.
If indeed the rumors were true, Ben Affleck will hold on to being Batman for 10 years or so.
Unfortunately, as per iDigitalTimes, representatives of both Ben Affleck and Warner have not confirmed Den of Geek's reported rumor.
However, superhero fanatics can expect great things to arise from the DC movie universe. In a conversation with Empire magazine, director Zack Snyder divulged details about the upcoming DC movies that will ultimately lead to "Justice League."
"What we are doing is ground up all the way. It is one giant story," Snyder said. "The first thing we had was the Justice League concept. The other movies, in a way, have to support that. That is our Wonder Woman, our Aquaman. They have their own creative concepts that supports them, but they do serve Justice League in the coming together of those heroes."
Well, viewers will have to wait for more updates regarding this development in Ben Affleck's Batman. As per Comicbook.com, Batman continues to dominate the DC Cinematic Universe, just like what he does with anything else.
What about you folks? Do you think Ben Affleck is up for more Batman films?
"Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice" will be available on theaters on March 26, 2016.
