"Real Housewives of New Jersey" star Teresa Giudice is definitely looking forward to spend the holidays with her family after she finishes her 15-month jail time for fraud on Dec. 23. However, sources claimed the 43-year-old reality star and her husband Joe will be ditching their plans for a low-key Christmas celebration to reunite with her sister-in-law Melissa Gorga in her Montville mansion in New Jersey. What's more interesting is the rumor that the upcoming reunion will be taped by Bravo.
It's no secret that Teresa Giudice and Melissa Gorga have a sour relationship and do not get along well. In fact, Gorga accused Giudice of conniving with pal Kim DePaola to make it appear that Gorga was a stripper at Lookers Gentlemen's Club in Elizabeth, New Jersey in 2012, Us Weekly revealed. After the blowup, Giudice's brother and Melissa's husband Joe said in a text message that his sister was dead to him. Fortunately, the ladies are reportedly making efforts to fix their severed relationship for this holiday season.
"They're on really great terms right now," an insider said. "Everything that happened with Teresa going away made both women realize that there are more important things in life than their old feud. Melissa and Joe [Gorga] reached out to Joe Giudice... and all four of them are on the best terms they've ever been on."
While there is a major interest for her comeback in Bravo's "Real Housewives of New Jersey" series, nothing is official yet and work is currently not a top priority for Teresa Giudice. Instead, she's looking forward to spend time with her husband Joe before his 41-month prison sentence in March. She will also catch up with her daughters - 14-year-old Gia, 11-year-old Gabriella, 9-year-old Milania and 6-year-old Audriana. A source had also revealed that Giudice is anxious for her looming liberty but counting down the time.
As for the upcoming reunion, Teresa Giudice is reportedly "thrilled" while Melissa Gorga is happy that Teresa is finally coming home.
"It should be a beautiful thing," Gorga recently told People. "I get more happy about her children seeing her," added Gorga, 36. "Everyone can't wait for that reunion for them ... it'll be beautiful for her to be actually home with her family."
Gorga also revealed some details about Teresa Giudice's homecoming.
"We're gonna be at my house for Christmas Eve. We're excited," Gorga said, as per Bravo TV. "We're gonna do [The Feast of the] Seven Fishes; we're gonna do all the fish. It should be fun. The kids are excited [for] a big Italian Christmas Eve. We're gonna be all together on Christmas Eve, so it's a beautiful thing."
"I think Christmas is just always so nice," she added. "It's just a sweet time, especially this year it's such a blessing that everyone can be together for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. So I think that love is in the air. It's just a time to come together with family. Everyone knows that the holidays are the time when people come together."
Meanwhile, sources told E! News that Teresa Giudice's reunion with Melissa Gorga will be strictly for the cameras, meaning for publicity's sake.
"If the Gorgas and the Giudices do anything together, it's because Bravo is asking them to," an insider said. "It is not one big happy family by any means... Make no mistake, Melissa and Teresa still cannot stand each other."
Teresa Giudice is out on early release this month after beginning her 15-month prison sentence in January. After Teresa is released, her husband, Joe Giudice, is to begin his 41-month prison sentence. According to Entertainment Tonight, the couple took a plea, which allowed them to serve time separately so one of them would be able to care for their four children.
