John Legend Is Sad ‘Downton Abbey’ Is Over! Singer Sings Own Version Of The Television Show Theme Song

The six season-running drama television show "Downton Abbey" is over.  Fans are deeply affected by the series' end, and that was best expressed through a song "All of Me" singer John Legend performed recently.

Legend decided it's high time he sings the "Downton Abbey" theme song with lyrics about what he (and supposedly the rest of the world) thinks about the show, as told by E! Online. During the Monday episode of "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" host Jimmy Kimmel introduced a musical guest star to the show. The multi-Grammy award winner John Legend graced the show with his presence and treated the audience to an instrumental theme song that highlighted the six seasons of "Downton Abbey."

As if he was performing in his concerts, John Legend wore a tuxedo with a piano within reach. After being introduced into the show, Legend crooned some salty lines - his own rendition of the show's theme song.

The song started with a humorous introduction: "Everyone we know is very white. We don't have one black friend." Line by line he fired shots at each individual characters starting with the matriarch of the house. "Gradmama is always such a witch. She needs to get laid," Legend sang. His lyrics apparently stated what everyone else was thinking but never said aloud. He ended the song with a climactic line for Edith, "Edith is such a loser. Why won't she just die? Why? Why?", chorused Legend. It looks like Edith has harshed Legend's mellow. Do you think John Legend captured "Downton Abbey's" hits and misses?
