Uh-oh! Following the rumors that "Sister Wives" season 7 is on the verge to be cancelled, a Brown family member has recently dropped shocking revelations surrounding TLC's polygamous clan.
While reality shows and series are no strangers to claims that they are fake, Christine Brown's aunt Kristyn Decker claimed that "Sister Wives" is full of lies and deceit. In fact, she even confessed that one of the show's major plotlines "may have been all for drama" to boost its ratings, Inquisitr noted.
According to Decker, the Browns' move to Las Vegas, which was due to some legal issues in their home state in Utah, was made to create tons of drama on the show. She also admitted that she used to live a polygamous lifestyle but eventually ditched it.
"They talked about moving to Vegas [to escape Utah's anti-polygamy laws] long before they did," Decker said. "That was their plan and they used the State coming after them for ratings. That's my strong opinion."
Aside from claiming that "Sister Wives" is fake, Decker also revealed that Christine was never happy in her marriage with Kody Brown. She also said that her niece should also abandon the polygamous lifestyle.
"I don't believe that she's happy," she told Radar Online. "I think the Browns are precious people. They are just misled like I was. They were born and raised with it. They are not representing the majority of polygamy."
In addition, Decker also gave a glimpse of what kind of life is there in a plural marriage. And she described it as "miserable happiness."
"There is a lack of connection between the women," she claimed. "They don't know where to stand when they're talking about their relationship with the other women. They don't get the quality time they want with their husband. Neither do the children. The spousal connection isn't there. They are happy because they believe they are serving God or their God. But it is miserable happiness."
"I call it 'miserable happiness.' That truly describes those that were in polygamist marriages and those that left," she continued. "I think they are just miserable and the show started showing it."
Meanwhile, since there were rumors about the possible cancellation of "Sister Wives" season 7 due to the impending departure of the other sister wives, Ecumenical News hinted that a spinoff series might happen instead of another season. However, TLC has not yet confirmed or denied if the speculations for renewal or cancellations were true.
In other news, Meri Brown's catfisher Jackie Overton was reportedly blackmailing the "Sister Wives" star to release over a hundred "sexually graphic" voicemails she kept from the conversations they had together. The blackmail was in exchange for the apology she demanded from Meri, her other sister wives and TLC for the catfishing accusations, Design & Trend reported.
