Recent "The Vampire Diaries" season 8 spoilers revealed that the characters in the popular CW series will have their work cut out from them. There are speculations that Damon Salvatore will die in the upcoming installment.
In Breathecast's "The Vampire Diaries" season 8 spoilers, it was reported that Caroline, Bonnie and Stefan will be going through difficulties in the next season. There is a possibility that Damon Salvatore, portrayed by Ian Somerhalder, could die.
Actress Candice King, who takes on the role of Caroline in "The Vampire Diaries" season 8, revealed that her character along with Bonnie and Stefan will be thrown a lot of curb balls their way. She added that she hopes Caroline and Stefan's dynamics would return to normal.
King also revealed what Alaric's role in "The Vampire Diaries" season 8 could be. Apparently, Alaric may use his vampire tracking abilities to save Damon and Enzo.
Rumors are running rampant that Damon Salvatore may die in "The Vampire Diaries" season 8 finale. Showrunner Julie Plec told TVLine that Ian Somerhalder's character and Enzo's fate still remains a mystery and that very few things in the next season are set in stone.
Plec also revealed that a mysterious villain will appear in "TVD" next. "Aside from the reveal and the origin story of this unknown villain," the executive producer said.
According to The Inquisitr, some believe that Bonnie Bennett may sacrifice herself and cause Elena to wake up. This, in turn, could be the salvation of Damon Salvatore from doom.
The publication noted, though, that Bonnie is "not suicidal." It is unlikely that she will easily give up her life to save Damon. One way she could unknowingly sacrifice herself is if she goes after Damon and Enzo.
"The triangle of Stefan, Caroline and Alaric will team up with Bonnie in Season 8 to search for the two most important men in her life," Melty's "The Vampire Diaries" season 8 synopsis read, "even though Damon and Enzo may be long past saving."
