Jason Statham is known forr being a tough and high-octane action star. He does his own stunts, drives like a freak and works his own guns. But what people don't know is that Statham's on-screen life isn't that different from his real life.
Before he was a big action star, he already led a fast-paced action packed life, too. Here are a few things you didn't know about Jason Statham according to Diply:
1. Jason Statham began his work life as a street seller. He was peddling knock offs in the London Streets with his dear old dad.
2. He may not look the part altogether, but he worked as a model before he went into acting. However, he didn't like his personal smile. So he opted to scowl instead. Which is why Guy Ritchie liked him because he looked tough.
3. He starred in a Kit Kat commercial. Check out the Youtube video below and see if you can keep a straight face. He advocates taking a break but in his line of work, he looks like he never did.
4. His street selling days were an advantage when he auditioned for his first movie role. Director Guy Ritchie asked him to sell him a piece of fake jewelry for "Lock, Stock & Two Smoking Barrels." Statham was so good, he actually sold it.
5. He was kicked out of the Playboy Mansion because he didn't want to appear in pictures with the Bunnies. Hugh Hefner didn't like that and had him escorted off the grounds by security.
6. Jason Statham was a world-class diver. He made the National British team and his intensive training in the 10m Platform and the 3m Springboard helped him earn a modeling job - and plus all those diving scenes in the Transporter movies.
7. Jason Statham does almost all of his own stunts. He wants to do the gruntwork and at the same time has always been pushing for the stunt men to have their own Oscars category.
8. He may be good at driving in the Transporter and Furious movies but he never really passed the driving tests. He apparently picked up some bad driving habits when he was driving for his dad back in the day.
9. He's also good at games - chess games. He has beaten Guy Ritchie several times at chess.
10. He's also a great soccer player. Statham is a floating member of the Hollywood United FC.
