[WATCH] 'Injustice 2' Gameplay Footage With Supergirl; Game To Have 'Biggest DC Roster'

An hour-long "Injustice 2" gameplay footage has recently been released. The clip showed Supergirl and Batman in battle.

Segment Next reported that the "Injustice 2" gameplay footage featured DC characters such as Batman, Superman, The Flash, Supergirl and Aquaman, among others. The game will also feature Wonder Woman, who will celebrate her 75th anniversary as a DC character.

The "Injustice 2" gameplay footage opened with an intense battle between Supergirl and Batman. The fight does not go towards The Dark Knight's favor.

The publication added that NetherRealm Studios is already planning 10 DLC characters for the "Injustice 2" game. The developers will also continue the DLC character tradition of "Mortal Kombat X."

Players can now customize their characters in the "Injustice 2" game with the Gear Unlocking system. This will provide longevity as well as an ongoing progression for characters.

It was previously reported that the Gear system in the "Injustice 2" game will allow items of armor to be dropped during gameplay. These items can boost players' strength, abilities, defense and health. These can also equip characters immediately after each fight.

There are speculations that the "Injustice 2" roster will be revealed along with the "Mortal Kombat X" DLC at EVO 2016. Creative director Ed Boon, notorious for teasing fans in social media, recently took to Twitter with a cryptic message regarding the highly-anticipated game.

"evEn with the recent announcement of 'injustice 2,'" Ed Boon wrote. "we'Ve got some cool mortal kombat x news cOming!"

According to Gamepur, the "Injustice 2" game will feature the "biggest DC roster." The roster will feature returning and new characters as well as villains.

Confirmed playable characters are Aquaman, Atrocitus, Batman, Flash, Gorilla Grodd, Supergirl, Superman and Wonder Woman.

The "Injustice 2" game will continue with the events from "Injustice: Gods Among Us." The highly-anticipated sequel is slated for release next year for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
