Warner Bros is premiering the "Batman: The Killing Joke" at this year's San Diego Comic Con. The company is home to several beloved animation and comics, from the villains and super heroes of the DC Comics Universe to the Saturday musings of Hanna-Barbera cartoons.
This year, the premiere of "Batman: The Killing Joke" will be showcased by Warner Bros. Home Entertainment plus additional new films at Comic Con. Three out of the four will include an autograph session with SDCC exclusive posters and a panel discussion connected to the video screening, according to reports.
Scooby-Doo & WWE: Curse of the Speed Demon is also making its way to SDCC on July 23 at 6BCF. A panel and First-Look setting is expected. If you're much more into the DC Super Hero Girls, a Hero of the Year will be named on July 24 with an exclusive Comic Con presentation of the World Premiere of DC Super Hero Girls: Hero of the Year.
"Batman: The Killing Joke" is scheduled on Friday, July 22 from 9:00-11:30 PM. It is the world premiere release with a panel to be held at Ballroom 20.
The show is all about The Joker. He is, of course, Batman's arch nemesis. It is based on one of the best selling graphic novels of all time. The Killing Joke, however, is an R-Rated animation film produced by Bruce Timm, and Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill will reprise their voice-career roles as the Batman and The Joker.
The world premiere of this highly anticipated film first originated from a graphic novel and worked its way to an animated thriller. Panelists will include Tara Strong and Ray Wise, with director Sam Liu and Brian Azzarello.
Batman Unlimited: Monster Mayhem will be holding an autograph signing on July 24, as well.
After the world premiere, fans can take home "Batman: The Killing Joke" through a home entertainment edition on July 26, in Digital HD copy and on August 2 for the Blu-Ray Deluxe copies in Combo Pack and DVD.
