New images of the upcoming action movie "American Assassin" has surfaced online and it looks pretty awesome. "Teen Wolf" star Dylan O'Brien was shown in some of the photos post-injury after he got into a freak accident while filming "Maze Runner: The Death Cure."
While veteran actor Michael Keaton looked rather serious in some photos as he trains Dylan O'Brien his military ways. "American Assassin" follows the story of CIA counterterrorism specialist Mitch Rapp played by O'Brien. The movie kicks off with Mitch Rapp proposing to his girlfriend who ultimately said yes. After the proposal, his fiancée was killed in a terrorist attack and his world began falling apart.
After more than a year, Mitch Rapp was recruited as a CIA black ops and was assigned under Cold War Veteran Stan Hurley who is played by Michael Keaton. According to Just Jared, the partners will be assigned by their Deputy Director Irene Kennedy played by Sanaa Lathan to investigate several attacks that have targeted both civilians and the military.
They will discover a network of terrorists and ultimately try to stop a World War that is brewing to happen in the Middle East. In a report by USA Today, O'Brien thinks that the movie has a lot to impart to its viewers.
"There's an internal battle, absolutely, in terms of the pain he holds inside and how to correctly process that rather than just becoming a ruthless murderer," the actor says. "American Assassin" will also have a more realistic approach in showing what goes in the life of a secret agent.
Movie producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura aims to answer the question, "What does it actually feel like to have your first kill?" through the movie and showcase it in an emotional context. The movie "American Assassin" is slated to hit the silver screen sometime next year.
