Milwaukee Bucks forward Jabari Parker appears to be in the rumor mill again. There are speculations that Parker seems overshadowed by his fellow Buck, Giannis Antetokounmpo, and that he might take his talents elsewhere. Now, there are NBA trade rumors that the Oklahoma City Thunder are showing interest in the 6'9" forward.
According to Headlines & Global News, Parker hasn't been able to maximize his full potential with the Bucks. Being the 2nd overall pick in the 2014 draft, he was even projected by many to become one of the top forwards in the league, but with Antetokounmpo slowly becoming the face of the Bucks franchise, it seems that Parker could be in this season's NBA trade rumors.
According to Hoopshype, the Boston Celtics have also shown interest in Parker by offering the Bucks a good deal, but the Bucks weren't really that interested in making a deal with the Celtics. But would the Bucks change their mind and make a deal with the Thunder?
There were NBA trade rumors before that the Thunder thought about trading Russel Westbrook for Jabari Parker according to Sportsrageous. It's far from happening now with Westbrook signing another extension and slowly becoming the face of the franchise. But with Victor Oladipo in the team, he might be the best fit for the trade to materialize again.
Victor Oladipo, also a 2nd overall pick in the 2013 draft, was acquired by the Thunder in the offseason. But with Oladipo being a 2 guard, it may pose chemistry issues with Russel Westbrook who is also a guard. The best option for the Thunder would be getting stability in the 3 position and trading Oladipo for Parker would be logical.
It would benefit both teams since the Bucks also need an established 2 guard who would complement Antentokounmpo's playing style. These NBA trade rumors aren't far from happening since it would be a valid transaction according to ESPN NBA trade machine.
These NBA trade rumors could really change everything for both teams. It could give the top contending Thunder another trip to the finals and the rebuilding bucks a shot in the playoffs.
