Apparently, bankruptcy is not nearly enough to keep "Darksiders" from rising once again. Since THQ filed for bankruptcy back in August, all the rights for the unique hack-n-slash game "Darksiders" went straight to Nordic Games.
Good news is, they plan to create a sequel. Four years have passed since THQ released "Darksiders 2" and fans worried about the title's future when the company shut down. However, speculations have been going about when Mark Hamill returned to the Warmastered Edition.
The actor famous for his role as Luke Skywalker in "Star Wars" is reported to return to lend his voice to his character ,The Watcher of "Darksiders Warmastered Edition." The latter is slated for release this month and some may say that this is the company's way of reviving the game's fan base in preparation for "Darksiders 3."
According to University Herald, Vigil Games and Joe Madureira planned for "Darksiders 3" to feature a four-player co-op mode, thus allowing players to control all four horsemen. It is also worth mentioning that the same source stated that producers planned to let players fight Lucifer in "Darksiders 3."
Moreover, Nordic Games seems to be gearing up for the release of "Darksiders 3," since the company is working on remastered versions of the two existing titles of the franchise. As reported by Game N Guide, this may prove to be a way for them to reignite the flames in the hearts of the fans who have fallen in love with the game in the past. Thus, preparing the fan base and hype before "Darksiders 3" is released, possibly in the near future.
However, there is yet to be an official announcement about "Darksiders 3" hence all this must be taken with a grain of salt. One thing is for sure, when the game is, in fact, released, it will be playable on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC/ Stay tuned to Jobs & Hire for more updates on Nordic Games' "Darksiders 3."
