"The Inhumans" will premiere on IMAX starting on Labor Day in 2017. According to Cinema Blend, the premiere will be available in 74 countries in more than 1,000 IMAX theaters. It is worth mentioning that fans should not worry if they cannot make it to the big IMAX premiere since ABC will still air the series starting from the pilot.
That being said, after the two week IMAX premiere, ABC will air the first two episodes as well, then proceed with the rest of the show. Note that the version aired by ABC will feature some scenes that were not in the IMAX premiere, it is best to watch both.
Many of you may be wondering why the series gets to premiere on IMAX. According to Paste Magazine, it was actually IMAX's idea to film the first two episodes using IMAX cameras then proceed with having a big premiere in IMAX theaters. This was done with hopes that this method will attract more viewers, considering that the television series market is already very crowded.
Moreover, after the first two episodes of Marvel's "The Inhumans," the production team will still utilize IMAX Cameras to shoot action scenes and the like. Even the scenes on The Blue Moon will be filmed using these high-end cameras. The producers seem to think that this unique way of launching the series will be a huge win for everyone involved.
As per the Disney-ABC Television Group president, Ben Sherwood the whole thing is a "Quadruple win." Having "The Inhumans" premiere in such an attention grabbing way will serve as a win for IMAX, Marvel, ABC Studios. Plus having the bundle of weirdos known as "The Inhumans" airing on their network will definitely be amusing.
Marvel's "The Inhumans" will be airing on September 4, 2017, and might just save the day for ABC's other series, "Marvel Agents of S.H.E.I.L.D." which isn't doing very good in terms of ratings. Perhaps the new series featuring Marvel's weird side will share its success with their sister show. Stay tuned to Jobs & Hire for more updates.
