The American police procedural drama television series created by Dick Wolf and Matt Olmstead, "Chicago PD" is back! "Chicago P.D." Season 4 would have its big return on the small screen with lots of twist and turn. On the other hand, "Revenge" actor, Nick Wechsler would be joining the cast.
As the news released by The Hollywood Reporter, it was reported that the 38-year-old actor would be joining the cast of "Chicago P.D." Season 4 as Kenny Rixton. On the other hand, it was also stated on the said site that Wechsler would appear much more often on its fourth season.
Rixton was a former student of Hank Voight, lead star in "Chicago P.D." whose character was a squad commander of the Chicago Police Department's Intelligence Unit. Rixton was being trained by Voight when he started to work in busting gang units in Chicago. Wechsler's character as Rixton would have its first appearance in Season 4 episode 10, which entitled "Don't Read The News".
On the other hand, there were speculations that Wechsler's character as Rixton in "Chicago P. D." Season 4 would possibly fill the emptiness left by Antonio Dawson, second in command of the Intelligence Unit of the Chicago Police Department. According to Yahoo, Rixton would likely fill the void left by Antonio Dawson played by Jon Seda as his character would be moving to spin-off series, "Chicago Justice."
"Chicago P.D." Season 4 would be the final goodbye of Jon Seda as Antonio Dawson. It would be his last wave to his fans and followers in the series. As "Chicago Justice" launched its debut on the midseason, it was announced that Seda's last episode in "Chicago P.D" would be today, November 23 as part of its two-hour fall finale.
Fans and followers of the show would expect major twist and turn in "Chicago P.D" Season 4 as new cast member would be joining the series. The big return of NBC cop drama will be on January 4, 2017.
