The American epic science fiction film, "Avatar" will be back on big screen. On its upcoming sequel, "Avatar 2," speculations about the return of characters were circulating online. Sigourney Weaver and Stephen Lang's character were rumored to be back on set.
As Movie News Guide gave some insights about the development of "Avatar" 2, it was then stated that two characters who died in "Avatar" would be back for its upcoming sequel. Sigourney Weaver and Stephen Lang's character would be back in its upcoming sequel wherein their characters would bring back to life as Na'vi.
On "Avatar", Stephen Lang, who played the role of Colonel Miles Quaritch, chief of security of Hell's Gate on Padora, died due to a gunshot. He was killed by Neytiri by shooting him twice in the chest with her father's bow. On the other hand, Sigourney Weaver who portrayed the role of Dr. Grace Augustine, a xenobotanist in charge of the Avatar Program, also died due to a gunshot wound inflicted by Colonel Quaritch.
As Colonel Quaritch and Dr. Augustine would be back on set, there would be a possibility that feud between them would still continue nor they would reunite. As it was reported, "Avatar" 2 would have a partial family feud between the characters.
As the news released by I Digital Times, it was revealed that all stars of "Avatar" would still be part of its upcoming sequel. On the other hand, Director James Cameron revealed some details about the storylines of "Avatar" 2.
"The storyline in the sequels really follows Jake and Neytiri and their children. It's more of a family saga about the struggle with the humans," Cameron said. He also stated that on "Avatar" 2 there would be a surprising revelation.
