Parsons also worked for other shows outside the network while playing the role of Sheldon Cooper, and none of these have brought any trouble to "The Big Bang Theory." At least not until the eleventh season of the show.
A report byThe Bitbag says that Parsons, alongside his life partner Todd Spiewak, is working with Freeform for a new TV show, "The Monarchy is Going to Sh*t." With Parsons' appearance on the said TV show, Freeform is hoping that it would finally bring more viewers and higher rating to the network.
The Hollywood Reporter recently told that Freeform, which was originally part of the ABC network, will be handling the show, with Parsons and Spiewak as executive producers. Due to this news, fans are asking whether or not they will still see Sheldon Cooper's brilliance and quirky character on "The Big Bang Theory." There are even speculations about the possible cancellation of "TBBT's" eleventh season due to some issues that revolve around the show and the casts.
The source also reported that Parsons, earning more than any other actors in television, is negotiating with "TBBT" alongside lead stars Kaley Cuoco and Johnny Galecki for a pay rise. This negotiation is also one of the speculated reasons for the possible cancellation of the show's eleventh season as each episode costs around $9 million excluding the salary of the main casts.
Despite the rumors, no one in the show has confirmed the cancellation of season 11. Also, there is no confirmation from Jim Parsons about his permanent separation from the show, so big fans can still hope for season 11 and Sheldon Cooper.
The show is currently working script-by-script for season 10 and would soon release confirmed updates for season 11. Stay tuned at Jobs & Hire for more trending news and updates from "The Big Bang Theory."
