The "Divergent" series starred by Theo James and Shailene Woodley already launched its three films. In line with this, it has been announced that the fourth installment will soon be released.
According to Headlines & Global News, it has been previously reported that the fourth sequel will be converted into a TV series. This is due to the poor box office outcome of the "Divergent: Allegiant" last March.
Meanwhile, avid fans of the franchise speculate that "Divergent: Ascendant" will never get the chance to be seen on TV. As stated in the above mentioned outlet, the show might be cancelled due to the inability of the lead cast to cooperate. That is especially between the working relationship of Theo James and Shailene Woodley.
Theo James (Tobias 'Four' Eaton) is reportedly worried about the Ascendant's possible failure in the box office like how Allegiant did. And because of these doubts, many believe that he might no longer be included in the cast. Of course, if this happens, the production will surely experience difficulties looking for a new cast. After all, it is not easy as well to draw viewers again having new faces in the future installment.
Moreover, rumors revealed that James has not been talking to his co-star Shailene Woodley still. The 25-year-old actress is his love interest, the one who portrayed Beatrice 'Tris' Prior in the film. The two were prominently linked to an issue, involving Theo James' wife, Ruth Kearney.
On the other hand, GamenGuide recently reported an update from the Divergent Novels' author, Veronica Roth. According to the 28-year-old author, she has a new write-up regarding Four's life years after the Allegiant.
"I wrote something just for myself about what happened to Tobias after the war ended and after Tris' death," Roth said.
Who knows whatnot but this might give the franchise a life-changing turn! Furthermore, aside from the never ending rumors about Theo James and Shailene Woodley, other stars from the cast were allegedly backing out. In the end, avid followers of the franchise have no choice but to wait for "Divergent: Ascendant" updates.
