The air was heavy inside Madison Square garden Wednesday night. Knicks battle against heavyweight Cleveland Cavaliers without their ace in the offence- Derrick Rose. Rose is still recuperating from back injury and the Knicks are losing grip on how the game will favour the tides.
If there is anybody from the Cavaliers who wanted it so badly, it would be LeBron James. Fresh from a stirring "posse" intrigue commented by Knick top honcho Phil Jackson, James is expected to be unstoppable that night. With the reigning NBA Championship to defend, James and his men are set to give everybody in the arena something to remember that night.
And they surely did. The game has become one-sided after the first half. At the third quarter, the point difference has become unreachable for Knicks. The game stopped with a 126-94 deficit in favour of the Cavs. The team has put a stop to Knick's four consecutive winning marathon.
New York Times reports that it was hard for the Knicks to contain the momentum, considering the circumstances. The Cavaliers enjoyed a free night in New York City on Tuesday. The Knicks, however, has just returned from Miami early morning on Wednesday.
Jeff Hornacek thought his team can tame the Cavaliers. But no matter how he positions his team to anticipate ball movement and prevent the shooters, Cleveland always finds a way. Cleveland managed to push Knicks against the wall in all aspects of the game.
Other members of Cavalier stepped up to contribute to the win. Kyrie Irving created 28 points from nine out of seventeen shooting and amassed six assists. Kevin Lowe, on the other hand, gave 21 points more and four rebounds. Tristan Thompson recorded season-high 20 rebounds, six offensively.
On a report by Jobs & Hire, LeBron James is right about asking the Cavaliers to re-sign Kyrie Irving as point guard. Undeniably talented on his own, James knows that Irving is a great initiator in finding the correct spot for the shots.
