A master swordsman in the S-Class, Atomic Samurai is indeed one of the strongest and toughest heroes in "One Punch Man." His strength and sword skills were also revealed in the anime series where he cut his enemies into pieces with just a blink of an eye. However, have you ever wonder what lies beyond Atomic Samurai's mighty sword?
Atomic Samurai first left his mark as a prideful hero in "One Punch Man" after intentionally refusing to shake hands with Saitama during their first encounter in episode 10's hero association meeting. Although he greeted him along with both Bang and Genos, still he chose to deny his courtesy saying he'll only recognize those who belong to the S-class.
The rank 4 S-class hero was also described to have long black hair tied in a topknot, a pair of strong dark eyes, a goatee hair and a defined jawline. Covering his strong physique is a dark cloak embraced by a red hood with the symbol atom. His weapons are a pair of Katanas placed on the left side of his waist. A piece of grass also appears to be permanent in his mouth.
Game N Guide even mentioned his fast sword skills and reflexes as he was able to dodge the bullet-like attacks from a dragon level being named Evil Natural Water. His strength and speed in cutting with his weapons indeed also showed another side of his character.
Being in the best class, Samurai, mentors three disciples Iaian, Bushidrill and Okamaitachi, all belonging in the top 5 of the A-class. Behind his serious and mysterious character, he expressed great concern when one of his disciples (Iaian) was injured by an attack.
Iaian lost his arm after a duel with an alien named Melzalgald. Atomic Samurai dramatically intervenes with their battle and vowed to save his disciple's swordmanship from a tragic ending.
He was then able to defeat the alien along with Bang, Metal Bat and Puri-Puri-Prisoner. Aside from his fast reflexes, the source said his single slash could also create a powerful shock wave which made the speculation stronger that his strength is nuclear powered thus his name "Atomic".
