"Tokyo Ghoul" has been one of the most anticipated anime TV series up to date, and now a live-action film has been officially announced. The confirmation came from a post on the official website of "Tokyo Ghoul," and the post has also revealed the first image visuals.
The upcoming "Tokyo Ghoul" Live-Action film has already released its first image visual and it is featuring Masataka Kubota who will be playing as the protagonist Kaneki Ken. Masataka Kubota is best known for casting as Light Yagami in the TV series of "Death Note."
According to Crunchyroll, Masanori Morikawa has designed the mask that Masakata Kubota is holding, and other more costumes in the film. Masanori Morikawa is known for designing the stage costumes for KISS and Lady Gaga. A statement from Masanori Morikawa was also included; he says that he was a big fan himself of the Tokyo Ghoul manga series.
He appreciates the fact that he was able to grab the opportunity in designing the mask and costumes for the "Tokyo Ghoul" Live-Action film. He also mentioned that the masks and costumes are freshly designed, and he had expanded the images of the manga with the help of the director. Masanori Morikawa hopes that the fans of "Tokyo Ghoul" manga will like it.
According to iTech Post, the first image visuals was released on December 13, 2016 that has featured Kaneki Ken. They will release a 2 minute footage of the film at the Jump Festa 2016 on December 17-18 2016. In some more reports, they stated that the project was announced on the 7th volume of "Tokyo Ghoul: Re" manga that was released on December 6, 2016. Kentarō Hagiwawa will be the "Tokyo Ghoul" Live-Action Film director.
