The 31-year-old "Grenade" singer Bruno Mars swooned viewers for The Late Late Show's latest Carpool Karaoke session as he got on the passenger seat of James Corden's SUV. Mars kicked off with Corden thanking the person on the passenger seat for accompanying him to work and through the terrible traffic. The karaoke session with an energy-packed performance of his "24k Magic" and Corden was just more than happy to sing along with him, showing off his harmonizing skills. The two even took a selfie together when the episode was shot.
The carpool showcased some colorful and stylish hat changes, with hats provided by Corden himself. He was comparing how the hats would look very differently on him compared to how they would look on Mars.
According to ET Online, the episode was shot back in November, weeks before it was set to air last Tuesday, December 13. The karaoke session aired hours after Mars' performance with one of his hit songs "24k Magic" for The Voice's finale which came in two parts.
Complex reported that the episode was dubbed as "The Carpool you've been waiting for" and Mars has been very busy since his 24k Magic album debuted at No. 2 last November on the Billboard 200. The session includes Mars and Corden trading romance tips, aside from Corden's teasing remarks.
A few of the songs Mars sang (together with Corden, of course) for the viewers' eargasmic experience are his hits "24k Magic" followed by "Locked Out Of Heaven" and then "Grenade" and, finally, the sexy "Versace on The Floor". He also did a rendition of Elvis Presley's classic "Jailhouse Rock" after he told Corden that he was very fond of the King of Rock and Roll, ever since he did an impersonation for his Dad's party when he was just 4-year-old.
