Nike is expected to make headlines again as they are set to release three new highly-anticipated sneakers this weekend.
The low-profile edition of Kobe Bryant's ninth signature shoe called Kobe 9 EM will make its debut on the sneaker market on March 29, Saturday.
Unlike the now-popular Kobe 9 Elite, this sneaker is in low top form, featuring an Engineered Mesh upper that is said to provide lightweight ventilation, which is only one of the main features of this promising shoe.

"You've seen the high-profile Kobe 9 Elite, now meet the low-profile Kobe 9 EM," Nike noted. "This shoe's Engineered Mesh upper provides lightweight ventilation to keep you cool, and an interior lining made of contouring mesh to provide a snug, comfortable fit. All this sits atop a Lunarlon midsole that delivers an ultra-soft, responsive ride."
This shoe will debut in University Gold/Black-Laser Crimson colorway. It features a gold-based EM upper part accented with black lining, laces, outsole, midsole, and Nike Swoosh logo.
Laser crimson hints appear on the Kobe logo on the tongue, Bryant's signature near the heel area, lace eyelets, and the nine lines at the back portion, which symbolizes the LA Lakers' superstar's sutures when he underwent surgery to repair a torn Achilles tendon last year.
This low-profile Kobe Bryant shoe will be available for just $160 per pair at select Nike Stores worldwide.
Meanwhile, Nike's Jordan Brand is also expected to have a share of the spotlight as they are also set to release an eye-catching sneaker.
To be released simultaneously with the Kobe 9 EM is the Air Jordan 5Lab3, which will be third model in the popular Air Jordan Elements collection.
This model, which is officially listed as the Silver/Reflect Silver-Black-White colorway of the shoe, has Air Jordan 3's canvass applied with elements of the Air Jordan 5.
"The Air Jordan 5Lab3 is the newest model in the Air Jordan Elements collection. The Air Jordan 3 is a perfect canvas to showcase iconic elements from the Air Jordan 5. An upper made almost completely of reflective Metallic Silver is the hallmark of this Lab creation, with touches of Elephant Print and hits of Powder Blue," Nike noted.
This newest model from Jordan Brand will sell at $225 per pair in select Jordan Brand accounts worldwide.
