Nike has been releasing excellent basketball sneakers for men, but on Thursday, they are set to make noise with the release of three excellent signature shoes in gradeschool sizes.
Nike announced that they will release what they called "Barbershop Pack", which includes GS editions of Kevin Durant's KD VI, Kobe Bryant's Kobe 9, and LeBron James' LeBron 11.
The KD VI "Barbershop" features a silver-based upper part along with an eye-catching barbershop pole striped "KD" logo on the back heel of the sneaker. It also sports laser crimson laces along with turquoise blue lining and outsole.
This GS edition of Durant's sixth signature shoe, which is officially listed as the metallic silver/white-turquoise blue-laser crimson colorway of the shoe, will be available for $100 gradeschool sizes.
The Kobe 9 GS "Barbershop", on the other hand, sports a crimson-based upper part along with blue and black hints throughout the sneaker. The featured barbershop pole stripes can be seen on the side panel of the shoe.
This edition, which is listed by Nike as the laser crimson/black-turquoise blue colorway of the shoe, will be available for $125 per pair for gradeschool sizes.
The LeBron 11 "Barbershop" sports a color combination similar to that of the KD VI GS edition. It has a silver-based upper part with laser crimson laces, and turquoise lining and outsole.
The barbershop pole stripes appear on the Nike Swoosh logo on the side panels. This edition of the LeBron 11 GS will sell at $140 per pair for gradeschool sizes.
According to reports, all three sneakers will also be available in preschool and toddler sizes, but Nike has yet to announce the pricing details for the two smaller sizes.
It is still unknown at this point whether or not Nike is planning to release these sneakers for adults, but it will not be surprising if they do, especially if these three barbershop-themed sneakers do well on the market over the next several weeks.
