The Orlando Magic is way behind the playoff race sitting at the 12th spot in the Eastern Conference. If the franchise wants to make a playoff run, it needs to make some changes in its roster. Recently, there are NBA trade rumors about a deal between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Orlando Magic. Could this deal be the answer for the Magic's long playoff drought?
ESPN reported that NBA trade rumors have been spreading about the Magic looking for a scorer that could boost its offense. Being ranked 29th in points made per possession and with the trade market about to open in Dec. 15, the franchise will have to make some quick decisions which player they would get.
The Magic has a lot of available pieces to offer to any team who could send a consistent scorer in return. NBA trade rumors have it that the team is shopping Serge Ibaka, Jeff Green and Nikola Vucevic. There is one report about the team trying to get Monta Ellis from the Indiana Pacers but it appears that the Lakers can offer so much more in return.
In a report by Fan Sided, NBA trade rumors are buzzing about a possible deal between the Lakers and Magic. If the Magic wants a scorer, getting Lou Williams and Brandon Ingram is the best option. Williams is the primary target but Ingram might be shopped by the Lakers too when the trade market opens so adding him to the mix is also a good option.
In return, the Magic could unload some of its big men by letting Nikola Vucevic go. However, getting Ingram comes with a price so the Magic can either trade Mario Hezonja or Aaron Gordon to make the deal possible. But it appears that the Lakers might need to size up so getting Vucevic and the high-flying Gordon would be a better choice.
The trade market is about to open and these NBA trade rumors could materialize anytime soon. But these are just speculations and no official statements from both teams have been announced so far.
