NBA trade rumors are always buzzing around the league but there are just absurd rumors that are so far from happening. There is currently fake news spreading about Stephen Curry going to the Cleveland Cavaliers and true NBA fans know that it would take a miracle to make Curry leave the Golden State Warriors.
The rumors about Curry being traded to the Cavs probably started with a report about him being asked if he'd have a chance to play for his hometown team, the Charlotte Hornets. According to ESPN, when the Carolina Panthers was in Oakland to play against the Raiders, Curry was asked by The Charlotte Observer's Scott Fowler if he would consider playing for the Hornets.
Curry's response to the question if he would leave the Warriors and sign with the Hornets obviously meant that he won't but his final words during the interview were, "I don't know." His finals words could've sparked NBA trade rumors that Curry could leave the Warriors for the Hornets or any other team in the NBA like the Cavaliers.
There are NBA trade rumors spreading of Curry joining the Cavaliers in 2017 which is just out of this world. Other rumors also have it that Curry might mix it up with Lebron James and that the Cavaliers would part ways with Kyrie Irving.
Kevin Durant left the Oklahoma City Thunder for the Warriors but it's a different case for Curry and the Cavaliers. The Cavs have Irving and they wouldn't trade him just to get another Curry. There are lots of factors to consider like chemistry issues and Irving's contract won't expire until 2020.
It's true that Curry will become a free agent in 2017 as per Spotrac but during his interview with Fowler, Curry said that he loves it in the Bay Area and that he loves to play there. Head coach Steve Kerr is also one reason why the all-star point guard isn't leaving the Warriors.
There are always NBA trade rumors spreading in the league since the NBA is always full of surprises. But there is a fine line between rumors and plain fake news without bearing.
