WWE 2K15 is shaping up as a potential blockbuster as the upcoming wrestling game continues to make headlines with its rumored features and gameplay details.
Reports indicated that WWE 2K15 will feature an all-new career mode developed by 2K Sports, which is similar to a game mode in their popular NBA 2K14 game.
Like in the hit NBA video game, players can create a player of their own and build his path to greatness. Gamers can also use or recreate the career of an existing superstar or diva by starting in NXT then climbing up to the main roster.
"Based on what we're hearing this week, WWE 2K15 will include an all new career mode that will be similar to NBA 2K14, where gamers can create a character (or use an existing Superstar/Diva) and rise up the ranks from rookie to legend. This will involve paying your dues and making a name for yourself in NXT before making your way up to the main roster," 24Wrestling reported.
The highly anticipated wrestling game will also have an expanded roster aside from the new game mode.
According to reports, WWE 2K15 will allow gamers to use NXT talents for the first time in the wrestling video game franchise. New playable characters include NXT champion Adrian Neville, NXT women's champion Charlotte, Sami Zayn, and Tyler Breeze.
A game mode similar to the "30 Years of Wrestlemania" mode will also reportedly be included in the game, which could feature wrestling legends Sting and Goldberg.
WWE 2K15 will be released on October 28 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360.
Gamers can now pre-order the game from Amazon. Previous reports indicated that there will be pre-order bonus again this year similar to what they did with WWE 2K14 last year.
"2K Games may be using a similar tactic when it comes to promoting "WWE 2K15." The company has a large pool of divas and wrestlers to choose from," Examiner recently reported. "However, some of the retired wrestlers such as King Kong Bundy and Mick Foley are apparently upset with the low-paying compensation. As a result, the pre-order bonus may be related to someone on the current active roster."
