Cristiano Ronaldo will reportedly consider forcing his way out of Real Madrid after the current season to return to Manchester United, but Los Blancos coach Carlo Ancelotti doused cold water to the soccer transfer rumor.
In a press conference ahead of their upcoming Champions League clash against Liverpool, Ancelotti reiterated that he can't see Ronaldo leaving Real Madrid because he is happy at Bernabeu contrary to previous reports that the superstar forward was frustrated with their moves during the summer.
"Everyone can be changed and replaced but Ronaldo is the best player in the world," Ancelotti said via Yahoo Sports. "If he left Madrid it would be a huge loss. But that won't happen because he will end his career in Madrid."
Previous rumors also suggested that Ronaldo will likely play in Spain for the next several seasons, but will eventually end his career with Manchester United where he played from 2003-2009 before moving to Real Madrid via a record-setting transfer deal.
Ancelotti said, though, that he is 100 percent sure that the Portugal international will continue playing for Los Blancos and will retire as a Real Madrid player, pointing out that Ronaldo and the club are enjoying great relationship.
"I am 100% sure Ronaldo won't be at Manchester United next season," Ancelotti said. "I can't be wrong because he is happy in Madrid. Everyone wants to be here. The club is delighted to have the best player in the world. At the moment the relationship between club and player is perfect. So I don't think that is going to change. Ronaldo will end his career at Real Madrid."
Ronaldo's agent, Jorge Mendes, also told reporters that he expects his client to end his career at the Bernabeu, saying that the 29-year-old Portugal international wants to stay with Real Madrid despite his affection towards Manchester United fans.
"Cristiano is very happy at Real Madrid and always has been," Mendes said via Real Madrid News. "He's going to break many records in the white shirt and retire here. He has great affection towards Manchester United because his heart was there for six years, but he is totally committed to Real Madrid and their fans now. He's very happy and he feels loved and appreciated."
