When famous fitness guru Richard Simmons hasn't been seen by the public eye for two years, speculations about his alleged hostage situation had the showbiz and health industry concerned. In the latest news, speculations regarding the 67-year- old being kidnapped by someone in his home have spread. However, Simmons has finally come out in the open, clearing the air saying that nothing is wrong, according to Radar

In his last public appearance in January 2014, Simmons appeared on CNN to discuss the New Year's tradition of healthy resolutions. What should have been a bubbly conversation with Brooke Baldwin then turned into a tearfest when Richard Simmons broke down. When he was asked "What do you say to yourself in the mirror," Simmons appeared to be affected by the question.

"I say try to help more people, because there are more obese children and teenagers, young adults and seniors in the world..." Simmons said. After that show, he was never seen again.

Breaking his silence, Richard Simmons denieD being held hostage. "I just want everyone to know that I love them very much. But it's time right now for Richard Simmons to take care of Richard Simmons," wrote Washington Post during an audio interview. He also took his statement to Facebook, thanking everyone for the love and support offered but wants everyone to know that he needs the private time. He has also spoken to Entertainment Tonight directly that there is nothing to worry about.

America's health coach wanted to further explain that the NYDaily report of him being held against his will was totatlly untrue.

He promises his fans and loved ones that he will return. "Well, one day, I will come back. But right now I'm just busy doing some of the wonderful things that I'm doing. I'm writing a new book and just doing things for me."
