Facebook Friend Requests Linked To Overall Health Benefits

Facebook friend requests, a social action we see daily on Facebook or in any social media partaining to that sort of idea. Did you ever think that this could affect our overall health?

According to The Washington Post, Studies from Scientists found out that people who received tons of friend requests were less likely to die over a two-year period than those who don't. However, this has seem to have not affected on the poll on death rates.

To try to get a million dollar question answered, the researchers took over 12 million Facebook users matched them to California natives vital statistics. Over the course of study the scientists check and analyzed how many had passed away over a two year follow up. (All comparisons were made to people with the same age and gender respectively).

Scientist have found out and conluded that there was no mutual relationship between the number of friend requests they send and their longevity. However, there was a clear link between the number of friend request received and accepted and how long they have lived. Studies showed that people who received and accepted friend requests were more likely to live longer at a 34% death rate than those who don't receive much requests.

Interactions between facebook users such us Photos, sharing of post, videos, constant moderation of conversations tend to connect to better health. It might be crazy to think but it may really affect our overall health. Social media is one of the ways to also help us relieve stress with result to overall better health.

Scientist have noted this study only shows mutual relationship between both communication and interaction from real world to the world of social media. Maybe healthier people get more healthier communication or connections? We never know for now.

But as long as we are happy with our lives and full in our emotions to live then there is not much problem. To live or die, its all about us and how we do things, think things the way we want it to be that dictates our overall health.
