The "Designated Survivor" TV film series has shown vigorous audience growth since it begun airing and has even gained more viewer numbers when delayed viewing is factored in. Such is the story of the nation's favorite show.
In the past, audience measurement is only based on actual or current viewing. Today, because of DVR technology, the three days and/or seven days viewing can be measured and added to the viewer count of a particular show. As of the present "Designated survivor is hitting 7.3 million additional views when the delayed viewing figures are added.
As per The Wrap "Designated Survivor" has proven that it has a great following of viewers since it ranks ahead of other shows like "The Big Bang Theory" of CBS and "This is Us" of NBC when it comes to delayed viewing. At present, the thriller starred by Donald Sutherland ABC's highest viewed show since "Prime time Live' in the late 1990's and the TV series "Lost" ten years ago.
In a review by TV Fanatic, the film continues to be patronized as the plot becomes more engaging for the viewers. The current drama has placed President Kirkman on the defensive due to the unclear paternity of Leo while Hanna continues her investigation with Jason on the Capitol bombing.
There are suspicions that the Russians might be involved in the bombing. Of course, these might be distractions coming from double agents who do not want the president to find out who was really responsible for the bombing.
President Kirkman seems to be making decisions and is not intimidated by subtle power plays in dealing with the Russians. In the little time he has been in his office, he has matured into someone who is in complete control of his administration.
During the last US elections, audiences were comparing Sutherland's character with the two candidates vying for the presidency. Discussions along these lines have catapulted "Designated Survivor" to the top of Nielsen's Listings.
