Eiichiro Oda's "One Piece" is reportedly the top rating manga for the past nine years. "One Piece Film: Gold" will be shown on US, Canada and Australia on January 2017.
Since 2008, the yearly sales of the infamous series have reached 12.3 million copies. Its best-selling volume was the 80th volume released on December 28, 2015.
Crunchyroll reported that it has sold 2.98 million copies in Japan. The site also reported despite the success of the manga its yearly sales went down to 9 percent compared to last years 14.1 million copies.
This is not the only good news fans of the famous anime will have for "One Piece Film: Gold" will hit theaters on US, Canada and Australia. In Japan, the pirate animated movie reached a whooping $50 million when it was shown in July 23, 2016.
"The movie is going to be a standalone film that has a single plot. People who have not read the One Piece manga can watch it without any need for a back up. It was also dubbed in English so non-Japanese viewers can enjoy the movie," GameNGuide reported.
"One Piece Film:Gold" will focus on Straw Hat Luffy and his screw's adventure in the city of Gran Tesoro. World Government laws do not apply because Gran Tesoro is an independent country. It is considered to be a sanctuary for Infamous pirates, marines and millionaires.

The crew will meet King Gild Tesoro an ambition and greedy ruler who easily wins anyone to his side.
